Acceptable Use Policy
The traffic quality rules every placement is held to, and what happens when they are broken.
Effective 1 January 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to every placement, property and API credential on your account. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited traffic
- Automated, scripted, or emulated respondents of any kind.
- Traffic anonymised through proxies, VPNs, or hosting providers in order to misrepresent geography.
- Duplicate or farmed identities, including one person operating several respondent accounts.
- Coaching respondents on how to answer screening questions, or otherwise misrepresenting who they are.
- Incentives conditioned on a particular answer rather than on honest completion.
- Traffic sourced from properties you have not registered and verified with us.
3. Placement requirements
Placements must state plainly what the user is being asked to do and what they will receive. They must not imitate system dialogs, must not open without user action, and must not obscure the option to leave. Rewards promised in the placement must match the rewards actually credited.
4. Data handling
Send us the pseudonymous identifier you use for your own user, never their name or contact details. Do not attempt to re-identify respondents from data we return, and do not resell or redistribute survey content.
5. Enforcement
Quality is measured continuously per placement. Where signals breach our thresholds we may, in escalating order: sample traffic more aggressively, throttle the placement, put it into review, reverse affected conversions, withhold the disputed portion of a statement, or suspend the account. Reversals driven by a provider's own fraud findings are applied regardless of tier.
6. Reporting
Report suspected abuse — yours or someone else's — to abuse@treasurepays.com. Good-faith reports are never held against the reporting account.
